If you're going to replace the ink cartridges of your HP Deskjet 300, you'll need to follow these steps. Don't worry, the process is very simple and will only take you a couple of minutes.

1. First, turn on the printer.
2. Lower the paper output tray.
3. Open the cartridge access door. You'll find it on the front of the printer, just behind the exterior door.
4. Wait for the printer carriage to stop before continuing with the process.
5. To remove the empty cartridge, press it gently down, and it will automatically release from the slot.
6. Take the new ink cartridge out of its packaging carefully, and make sure to touch only the black plastic of the ink cartridge.
7. Remove the protective plastic tape.
8. Insert the new cartridge into its corresponding slot and push it back until it clicks into place.
