Cartridges HP 301

The HP 301 cartridge in its standard version prints about 190 pages. Meanwhile, the XL format has a yield of approximately 500 pages, which is exactly the same regardless of whether it is a compatible HP consumable or an original HP consumable. Please note that these figures depend, of course, on how you use your printer. 

Yield — that's the main difference between the HP 301 cartridge and the HP 301XL. The dimensions are exactly the same, but the XL has a higher yield. In practice, this means that the HP 301XL high-yield cartridge will produce a greater number of prints in the long run. The HP 301 cartridge is probably the most common HP ink cartridge and the one that most HP printers use. Some HP Deskjet, HP Envy and HP Officejet series printers use this model. Just select the HP 301 cartridge you're interested in and scroll to the bottom of the product page to check if your printer is compatible.  

At Webcartridge, we recommend never combining compatible cartridges with original cartridges. In theory, original cartridges with built-in printheads, such as the HP 301, can be used in conjunction with generic cartridges. Even so, the best choice and our recommendation is to go for one or the other: use all compatibles or all originals. Need more information? This problem can occur regardless of whether original or compatible ink cartridges are used. Usually, it's enough to reset the printer or clean the cartridge contacts for the cartridge to be recognised.
